About

Baldwin County Boss Babes (BCBB) began as a simple idea of bringing small business owners together the network and help each other gain exposure. This simple idea grew into a much larger one overnight! Today BCBB hosts large vendor events, networking mixers and business building events. This group has over 1700 members and growing every day!

Kim and Jenelle met on a local moms group. Both had newly formed businesses and were hoping to build their network. Kim had formed the group and started the branding process. When they met, the group was in the early stages of building their online presence. Jenelle came aboard and together, they decided to do a small vendor market. This market was the beginning of something much bigger.

Markets

The first market was small, around 12 vendors but they learned a lot from that first market. Their next market, The Holiday Market (2017), was much larger and consisted of 50 vendors. This market was to benefit Genesis Church's Preschool program in Foley. This market was a huge success with approximately 400 customers attending! BCBB was able to donate 100% of the vendor fees from this market to Genesis Church!
When discussing where to go next, Jenelle said, "Well, go big or go home!", and big it was! The next endeavor was The Spring Fling (2018). This market was held at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale. With over 100 vendors, 3 food trucks and 2 mobile boutiques, the turnout was great! The vendors ranged from all over the south including Baldwin County, Mobile, Pensacola, North Alabama, Mississippi and even South Carolina! It was a great day and many great connections were made from vendors and customers alike!
The 2019 Holiday Market was a HUGE success! Over 1200 customers attended and tons of door prizes we given away! 100 swag bags were given away within the first 10 minutes of opening the doors!  BCBB was also able to raise money and non perishable food for Amvets, a local non profit veterans group in Elberta, Al. Through our customer donations, together with Amvets, we were able to help a local accident victims family as well as help feed our local veterans! We are so thankful for our amazing boss babe network of vendors and customers! Together, we are making a difference!

The 2020 Bridal Expo was such a fun time! We had over 300 brides and their guests planning their weddings with 45 of Baldwin County's top wedding professionals.

Our Holiday Market is always our biggest event of the year and 2020 was our biggest yet! With over 1500 customers, we took in money and food donations for a local church food bank that was depleted after the devastating hurricanes. Our community proved that together, we can make a difference!

Networking Mixers and Business Building Opportunities

BCBB's Networking Mixers are always a lot of fun! This gives members the opportunity to meet others who are looking to expand their reach.  The inaugural mixer for the group was held in January of 2018 at The Book Cellar in Fairhope. There were over 50 in attendance for the food, wine, laughter, networking and new friendships! In April of 2018, BCBB hosted a Wine Tasting Mixer at Glen Lakes in Foley. This event was very informative as one of the groups members taught about different types of wine. In addition to this, many members shared their products as well as their experiences as customers of group members. BCBB's motto is Women Supporting Women and this event did just that!

In addition to social gatherings, BCBB also hosts' Business Building events. The latest event was a Social Media Seminar with Cindy Ross who owns Socialize Your Bizness. This event was held at The Event Center in Summerdale. She introduced members to the professionals techniques of obtaining a large social media following, keeping customers engaged and tips on branding.

Due to Covid 19, we have decided to take a break from networking events temporarily. We hope to be back to hosting these events soon!
